MTM Tip #1: Google EVERYTHING!

And I DO mean everything.

You always want to start with the basics, and #Google is one of our most underrated luxuries.

Anything you want to know, you can find the answer or a great starting point on Google.

The key to this step is to search all of the basics, so don't limit yourself at just Google.

🔑Different platforms can hold a wealth of information for different industries, for example, #Pinterest can be a GREAT source for finding articles and blog posts within most industries.

🔑You'll want to record your research so you can go back and go over to things that resonate with you.

A simple way to do this is to create a research folder on your computer or #Dropbox and save word docs there that you can copy and paste great info into.

An even simpler way is to get yourself an #Evernote account and connect it to your web browser if you use #GoogleChrome.

This will enable you to save full articles and blog posts, with one click, directly to your account for reference whenever you'd like.

🔑As you research, you want to keep an eye out for industry standards and procedures (check out pricing, product/service bundling, marketing tactics + case studies.)

🔑Don't forget to search your brand name! You'd be surprised how many people launch companies and brands with names that are already out there.

Before you fall in love with a name, search it on google, check whether the domain is available and seek out the relevant social media handles.

If the name is already being used, you'll undoubtedly run into it during this process.

🔑Take specific note of WHERE your #TargetAudience is hanging out.

You'll need to use this information later, but find out WHERE they're congregating because believe me, they are!
